This Long-term Contract position is suited for a detail-oriented candidate who can strengthen cost accounting practices, improve inventory visibility, and ensure dependable reconciliation processes. The ideal candidate will bring a hands-on approach to analyzing stock activity, validating inventory records, and partnering with cross-functional teams to maintain reliable reporting.

Responsibilities:

Oversee cost accounting activities to ensure product and inventory valuations are accurate, timely, and aligned with reporting requirements. Analyze inventory movements and balances to identify discrepancies, investigate root causes, and recommend corrective actions. Lead the planning and execution of annual inventory counts, ensuring proper coordination, documentation, and follow-up on count results. Manage annual physical inventory procedures and confirm that count results are accurately reflected in financial and operational records. Perform detailed inventory reconciliations between system data and physical counts to maintain reliable stock accuracy. Partner with finance, operations, and warehouse teams to resolve inventory variances and improve control measures. Prepare regular reports on inventory performance, cost trends, and adjustment activity to support business decision-making. Support process improvements related to inventory tracking, count accuracy, and cost control within day-to-day operations. Proven experience in cost accounting within an inventory-driven environment. Strong background in inventory analysis, including variance review and reconciliation activities. Hands-on experience managing annual inventory and annual physical inventory processes. Demonstrated ability to investigate discrepancies and implement effective inventory control solutions. Proficiency in preparing accurate financial and inventory-related reporting. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders in finance and operations.
