Full-time About the Company Our client is a specialist British engineering and manufacturing business that designs, manufactures and installs advanced engineered systems for customers across international markets. As the business continues to grow, they are looking to appoint a Warehouse & Logistics Manager to take ownership of the complete warehouse, stores and despatch operation. This is a newly created senior position offering the opportunity to make a significant impact on the organisation's future growth and operational performance. Job Responsibilities Take overall responsibility for the Warehouse, Stores and Despatch operations. Lead, manage and develop the Stores and Despatch teams. Establish clear responsibilities, priorities and performance expectations. Improve warehouse organisation, housekeeping and utilisation. Maintain effective stock control and inventory accuracy. Manage the complete despatch process from production through to customer delivery. Plan and coordinate container loading, collections and shipments. Manage freight forwarders, hauliers and external logistics providers. Ensure customer shipment requirements and deadlines are achieved. Identify and resolve logistics issues before they impact customers. Optimise container utilisation and reduce freight and logistics costs. Improve picking, packing, despatch and warehouse processes. Introduce appropriate warehouse and logistics KPIs. Improve shipment visibility and reporting. Maintain accurate ERP/WMS information and warehouse records. Qualifications & Experience Significant experience within warehouse, logistics, distribution, supply chain or manufacturing operations. Proven experience managing teams and operational functions. Strong understanding of warehouse and inventory control. Experience managing despatch and delivery operations. Experience working with ERP, WMS or similar operational systems. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills. Strong commercial and cost-control awareness. Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills. Poultry or agricultural industry experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
