About the role Riot is seeking an Inventory Supervisor to join our team in Waco, Texas. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day management and control of the company's inventory, ensuring accurate inventory levels are maintained to meet operational needs while minimizing excess stock and preventing shortages. The Inventory Supervisor will work closely with Procurement, Operations, and Logistics to ensure inventory processes are efficient, accurate, and aligned with business needs. This role will also be responsible for supervising inventory staff, maintaining accurate inventory records and data, monitoring inventory levels, and identifying opportunities to improve processes and overall supply chain efficiency. What you'll do Collaborate with management, administrative, operations, maintenance, and construction teams to align inventory levels with operational needs. Communicate effectively with suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve inventory-related issues. Serve as the primary point of contact for inventory-related inquiries and concerns. Use RF unit to scan incoming shipments Keep strict batch records and received shipment records Rotate stock and track as needed Upload Received Shipment forms into ERP system Supervise and coordinate activities of a designated unit; determine work procedures, prepare work schedules and determine methods for expediting workflow; assign, review and approve the work of subordinate staff Train inventory staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, providing guidance and support as needed. Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members. Monitor stock levels to ensure availability of necessary supplies and parts for continuous mining operations. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards related to inventory management. Implement and maintain safe handling and storage practices for all inventory items. Receive all incoming deliveries and packages and track delivery to departments What you'll bring Minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or a related field, preferably in a technical or industrial environment. Strong knowledge of inventory management principles, practices, processes, and inventory management systems. Proficiency in NetSuite and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret inventory data, identify discrepancies, and make informed operational decisions. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in inventory records, reporting, and documentation. Proven leadership skills with the ability to supervise, motivate, and develop team members. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues, determine root causes, and implement effective solutions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effectively working with suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize responsibilities, manage deadlines, and maintain efficiency in a fast-paced environment. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Procurement, Operations, and Logistics. Ability to adapt to changing business needs, operational priorities, and inventory demands. Ability to exercise sound judgment, work independently, and take ownership of inventory-related responsibilities. Physical requirements and work environment Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods Ability to lift and move equipment as needed (25lbs) Ability to work onsite in a data center environment (heat, noise, etc.) Exposure to high noise levels and varying temperatures
