Job Description What the position is: The Director of Supply Chain Strategy is responsible for architecting and driving enterprise-wide supply chain and material strategies that support long-term operational resilience, cost discipline, and scalability. This role is strategic in nature and focuses on system design, market exploration, economic governance, and performance architecture. The role partners closely with the SVP of Maintenance & Tech Ops Strategy to jointly establish inventory policies and strategic guardrails, while working with operational Directors to translate strategy into executable objectives and measurable outcomes.
Essential Functions:
Develop and maintain the enterprise supply chain and materials strategy aligned to fleet, network, and operational objectives Lead exploratory analysis of external market solutions including pooling, alternate sourcing, repair models, and vendor ecosystems Define enterprise material demand models, planning assumptions, and long-range forecasting frameworks Establish repair-versus-replace decision frameworks and economic governance models Partner with the Managing Director, Materials & Sourcing to jointly set inventory policies, strategic buffers, and risk tolerances Design enterprise-level KPIs and performance targets in collaboration with operational Directors Develop financial models, business cases, and cost mitigation strategies supporting long-term sustainability Provide executive-level insight into supply chain risks, opportunities, and performance trends Support executive decision-making through data-driven recommendations and scenario analysis General requirements & qualifications: 10-15 years of progressive experience in aviation supply chain, materials management, or technical operations Minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership or enterprise strategy role Demonstrated experience designing enterprise supply chain or material strategies Strong financial and analytical capability including cost modeling and trade studies Experience operating within a regulated aviation or Part 121 environment Proven ability to influence cross-functional leaders without direct execution ownership
Preferred Qualifications:
Regional airline or mixed in-house / outsourced maintenance experience Exposure to fleet lifecycle planning or fleet modernization initiatives Familiarity with maintenance and materials systems such as AMOS, TRAX, or similar platforms Experience supporting complex vendor negotiations or partnership models Advanced degree in business, engineering, or supply chain management

Exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body, sedentary work involves sitting most of the time and walking /standing occasionally Visual Acuity Includes inspection, close assembly, clerical administrative; This is a minimal standard for use with those whose work deals largely with preparing and analyzing data and figures, accounting, computer, extensive reading.
