Job Description

About this role Join our team as a Logistics Supervisor and play a key role in ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable transportation operations. This position is responsible for leading drivers and logistics team members, coordinating daily transportation activities, maintaining regulatory compliance, and delivering exceptional service to both internal and external customers. Key Responsibilities Supervise daily transportation, dispatch, and logistics operations to ensure on-time delivery performance. Lead, coach, and develop drivers and team members while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork. Monitor DOT compliance, driver performance, hours of service, and safety requirements. Plan work assignments, route coverage, staffing, and equipment utilization to meet operational demands. Communicate proactively with customers, drivers, and business partners to resolve issues and maintain service excellence. Conduct safety inspections, accident investigations, and corrective actions to reduce risk and support loss prevention efforts. Track and analyze operational metrics and KPIs to drive continuous improvement in service, productivity, and cost efficiency. Support after-hours operations and respond to transportation-related emergencies as needed. Identify training and development opportunities to enhance team performance, safety, and operational effectiveness. Ensure compliance with company policies, DOT regulations, and all applicable transportation laws. Qualifications Proven leadership experience in transportation, logistics, distribution, or supply chain operations. Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, transportation safety, and compliance requirements. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to lead in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities. Experience utilizing Traffic Management Systems, Electronic Logging Device and Warehouse Management Systems required; Manhattan, Samsara and E2open a plus What You'll Bring A commitment to safety and operational excellence.
