Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Production Planning and Logistics Manager. In this pivotal role, you will be managing logistics and inventory to ensure seamless delivery of products. Your expertise will drive continuous improvement initiatives, optimize resource utilization, and foster cross-functional collaboration to meet organizational goals. Duties Enter approved Sales Orders on the ERP system checking materials in so doing Updating Production Planning reports and discussing issues and opportunities with management team Work with Senior management on capacity planning identifying constraints and solutions Entering Work Orders on the ERP system coordinated with manufacturing builds Working with Finance on Packing Slip and Invoice creation Assisting Shipping Manager with shipments when needed (UPS and FedEx) Primary on Freight and International Shipments Assisting Finance in Inventory counts as needed Assisting Production Floor in the Packing / Shipping area as needed Assisting Production Floor in moving and arranging inventory as needed Qualifications Minimum of 5 years experience in production planning within a manufacturing environment, 7 - 10 years experienced preferred. Strong proficiency in ERP systems, brand is not important as specific system training is likely required. Working experience within a formal organizational structure is important Must be comfortable with being out on the production floor and "management by walking around" Excellent working knowledge of Office 365 Tools with emphasis on Excel Bachelor's degree highly desirable Must have no restrictions on lifting 35 lbs on a repeated basis
