Store Owners Position Summary The Database Manager is responsible for maintaining the accuracy, organization, and integrity of the The Genny Craftsbury and Albany product and inventory database. This role ensures that pricing, inventory records, vendor information, and product details are current and accurate to support efficient store operations, purchasing, sales, and customer service. The position is also responsible for receiving incoming invoices, supporting weekly ordering and assisting with putting away orders as needed. Key Responsibilities Maintain and update the store's inventory and product database. Enter new products, vendors, pricing, and barcode information into the point-of-sale (POS) system. Monitor data accuracy and correct discrepancies in inventory records. Coordinate with purchasing and receiving staff to ensure inventory information is current. Generate inventory, sales, and purchasing reports for management. Assist with price updates, promotions, and seasonal product changes. Monitor routine database backups and complete workflows pertaining to receiving and ordering. Support inventory counts by reconciling physical inventory with database records. Troubleshoot database issues and work with software vendors or technical support when needed. Develop and maintain procedures to improve data quality and operational efficiency. Train staff on proper data entry and inventory management procedures as needed. Qualifications Associate's or bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience. Experience with inventory management, database systems, or retail point-of-sale software. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and database management applications. Knowledge of ECRS Catapult is a plus. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to analyze data and identify inconsistencies. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines. Experience in a retail or grocery environment is preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Occasionally lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in both office and retail store environments. Pay:
$50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
