Job Description

About the Role Upfit Works is looking for an experienced Parts Manager to lead our branch Parts Department. You'll develop the parts team, support internal and external customers, maintain an optimized inventory, and work closely with service leadership to keep repairs moving efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity for a parts professional who enjoys leading people, improving processes, and taking ownership of departmental performance. Key Responsibilities Lead daily Parts Department operations, including hiring, scheduling, training, coaching, and performance management. Drive profitable growth by managing revenue, margins, expenses, overtime, and freight recovery. Enforce pricing, discount, and margin guidelines, escalating exceptions when required. Maintain strong counter-service standards and resolve customer and internal escalations promptly. Partner with service leadership to manage urgent repair orders, backorders, parts staging, and technician wait times. Oversee repair-order accuracy to reduce billing errors and missed parts-to-labor capture. Manage inventory, cycle counts, returns, cores, credits, purchase orders, adjustments, and bin accuracy. Ensure accurate invoice coding, month-end administration, and follow-up on open orders and invoices. Maintain departmental safety, environmental, cleanliness, and housekeeping standards. Follow company procedures while escalating recurring operational risks through the appropriate channels. What We're Looking For Previous Parts Manager, Assistant Parts Manager, or comparable leadership experience. Experience within an automotive, commercial-truck, heavy-equipment, or dealership parts environment. Strong knowledge of inventory control, parts operations, and customer service. Proven ability to lead, coach, and hold a team accountable. Experience working closely with service departments and technicians. Familiarity with dealership or business management systems. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
