This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast‑paced logistics environments, understands commercial driving, and can lead drivers while keeping routes running smoothly. Position Overview The Operations Supervisor is responsible for ensuring all contracted routes depart on time, managing driver coverage, coordinating equipment repairs, and responding to operational issues throughout the day. Schedule & Expectations Primary shift: 2:00 AM - 6:00 AM, Monday-Saturday Oversee morning dispatch and ensure all trucks depart on schedule.
Administrative duties:
6:00 AM - 10:00 AM Handle paperwork, scheduling, maintenance coordination, and driver management. On‑call availability: Until 9:00 PM daily Respond to emergencies, driver call‑outs, and operational needs.
Sunday operations:
Limited — a small number of trucks run. Key Responsibilities Daily dispatch oversight — Ensure all routes launch on time and meet USPS requirements. Driver management — Hire, train, and supervise drivers; conduct yard checks; maintain DOT compliance. Scheduling relief drivers — Coordinate coverage for call‑outs, vacations, and emergencies. Equipment coordination — Take trucks for repair, monitor vehicle condition, and maintain readiness. Route coverage — Step in to drive routes when necessary. Requirements 2+ years commercial driving experience in a straight truck or larger Class A CDL preferred Valid DOT physical Ability to pass a drug screen 2+ years management or driver‑dispatch experience
