In this vital role, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of transportation activities to ensure the seamless movement of freight and supplies. Your expertise will help optimize supply chain efficiency, improve delivery times, and maintain excellent communication with carriers, vendors, and internal teams. This position offers an energetic environment where your problem-solving skills and attention to detail will drive operational success and support our commitment to exceptional service. Responsibilities Coordinate daily transportation operations, including scheduling pickups and deliveries with carriers and third-party logistics providers (3PL) Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) such as Oracle Transportation Management and SyteLine to plan routes, track shipments, and manage freight data entry Monitor GPS and GIS tools for real-time tracking of fleet movements, ensuring timely deliveries and efficient routing Communicate effectively via multi-line phone systems, maintaining professional phone etiquette while providing updates or resolving issues Dispatch drivers using dispatching software, ensuring adherence to schedules and compliance with safety regulations Manage shipping & receiving documentation, including freight bills, shipping labels, and delivery confirmations Analyze transportation data to identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, or increased efficiency Maintain accurate records through data entry in systems like AS400 and Oracle TMS while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Qualifications Proven experience in transportation management or logistics coordination with familiarity in supply chain operations Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret GPS data, GIS mapping tools, and transportation analytics Proficiency in transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management or similar platforms Knowledge of freight processes including shipping & receiving, fleet management, dispatching, and 3PL coordination Excellent communication skills paired with professional phone etiquette for internal teams and external partners Skilled in data entry with high accuracy using systems like AS400 or SyteLine; typing speed is a plus Familiarity with shipping regulations, safety standards, and transportation planning principles Ability to multitask efficiently within a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
