Job Description
Social Vocational Services (SVS) is a state-wide non-profit organization serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Come grow with us! We are currently seeking an entry level Transportation Coordinator to help service our Santa Clara/San Jose region. This position provides coordination of all activities connected with meeting the daily transportation needs of SVS Programs within a designated area. Duties and Responsibilities:
Train and evaluate SVS drivers Establish and maintain SVS vehicle service, repair and rental accounts Arrange and coordinate delivery of vehicles as needed for smooth program operations Schedule and monitor vehicle service and repair Prepare monthly vehicle expenditure, mileage, fuel and other requested reports Investigate vehicle accidents and complete documentation within specified time Assist programs with efficiency in program van usage and coordination of routesEducation and Work Experience:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent. Some knowledge of vehicle mechanics, specifications and maintenance is highly valued Must be able to read, write and speak English effectively.Driving and License Requirements:
Must have 2 years of verifiable driving experience, personal vehicle, valid California Driver's license, good driving record & provide on-going proof of auto Liability insurance as mandated by the State of California; may require the ability to operate a nine (9) passenger van. Mileage reimbursementCriminal Record Clearance:
Must obtain Department of Justice/FBI fingerprint clearance prior to hire.Additional Requirements:
