Traffic Control Supervisor Apex Underground - 2.0 Arvada, CO Job Details $28 - $35 an hour 4 hours ago Qualifications Safety regulations Adhering to traffic regulations Driver's License Transportation safety regulations Full Job Description Why We Need You The Traffic Control Supervisor is essential for ensuring the safety of workers, the public, and traffic flow during plumbing projects on roads, highways, and construction sites. By leading a team of traffic control personnel, this role helps maintain smooth and safe operations while ensuring compliance with all safety standards and regulations. Your Regular Responsibilities Lead a team of traffic control personnel, including flaggers, to ensure effective traffic management and safety compliance. Develop traffic control plans in accordance with regulations and project requirements to ensure the safety of workers and the public. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing traffic control and safety standards, such as the MUTCD (Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices). Oversee the maintenance and deployment of traffic control equipment, including cones, signs, barricades, and signal devices, to maintain safe work zones. Provide training to traffic control personnel on safety procedures, equipment operation, and regulatory requirements to maintain high safety standards. Enforce safety protocols and regulations to minimize accidents and ensure the well-being of workers and the public. Respond promptly to emergencies, accidents, or incidents affecting traffic flow, implementing measures to ensure safety and minimize disruptions. Maintain accurate records of traffic control activities, such as incident reports, equipment inventory, and compliance documentation. Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess the effectiveness of traffic control measures and identify areas for improvement. Address inquiries, complaints, and requests from the public regarding traffic issues, providing courteous and professional assistance. Assist in budget planning and resource allocation for traffic control operations, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising safety or quality. Other duties as assigned. Your Team for Collaboration & Support You'll report to the COO, who reports to the CEO. Your department consists of 5 team members, including your manager. You'll collaborate with project managers, construction crews, and local law enforcement to ensure effective traffic management and safety compliance. Expectations & Outcomes of Your Work Success in this role means maintaining a safe work environment, minimizing traffic disruptions, and ensuring that all traffic control operations comply with regulations. You will be expected to lead and train a team effectively, develop traffic control plans, and respond promptly to any incidents to ensure smooth project operations. Technical Requirements TCS Certification is required. Previous experience in traffic control or a related field, with knowledge of plumbing industry operations preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Strong understanding of traffic regulations, safety standards, and best practices. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
