Traffic Control Manager and Assistant Traffic Control Manager Salary Range:

$24 - $30/hour Full Time Hourly, Non-Exempt Purpose Supervises tasks related to vehicular, pedestrian, and construction traffic control operations related to road, bridge, and highway heavy construction projects. Responsible for implementing and overseeing traffic control operations, lane closures, road closures, and setting signs and devices, per MHTs and in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations. May operate a variety of vehicles, hand tools, and power tools. May clean sites, and remove waste materials. Will work near traffic and interact regularly with the public. Education and Experience Current TCS Certification (Required) 1 year of relevant experience (Preferred) General Qualifications Current TCS Certification (Required) Must have a valid Driver's License Must be between 21 - 75 years of age (Over 70 requires an acceptable annual letter of health from a registered doctor or their representative) Must download the Teletrac application on a smartphone and complete daily electronic DVIR May not have more than five (5) minor violations in the past thirty-six (36) months May not have more than one (1) at-fault accident in the past thirty-six (36) months High School diploma or GED Must have reliable transportation to work Basic knowledge of the construction industry Ability to determine the right kind of tool and equipment needed to do a job Commitment to performing quality work while putting safety first Posses a strong sense of personal responsibility and the ability to perform manual labor in all weather conditions Must use a cell phone device to clock in and out for shifts and lunches Great people skills, communication skills, and problem-solving skills Obtain a flagging card through Lucky Dog Contracting after hire, or maintain flagging certification if certification has been obtained. Working Conditions This position could require evenings, nights, and some weekends. This position will be performed mainly outdoors and sometimes in inclement weather. This will require working with the city and meeting safety standards, ASTM specs, laws, and regulations. Physical Requirements Ability to repeatedly lift and carry heavy objects (50+ pounds), walk and stand for long periods, and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. Tasks Currently certified as a Traffic Control Supervisor through CCA or ATTSA and able to maintain certification. Performs traffic control and flagging activities as needed; follows safety rules and regulations on all work zones and flagging sites, including placing signs, barricades, traffic cones, and other warning devices; safely controlling vehicular, pedestrian, and construction traffic movements in a work area; duties may vary according to job assignment. Required to operate pickups and flatbed trucks (not requiring a commercial driver's license), and miscellaneous hand tools per all safety regulations and procedures; conducts routine equipment maintenance and daily equipment inspections according to standards.

Maintain a clean job site:

pick up all tools and equipment and secure job sites each day to eliminate potential hazards. Material handling and storage Load and unload trucks and haul and lift materials Ensure that tasks are completed per all applicable company, local, state, and federal rules and regulations Effectively communicate problems or concerns to the supervisor Must be able for extended periods to perform any of the following: stand, walk, jog, climb, kneel, squat, bend at the waist, grasp, and hold various tools and objects with both hands
