Responsibilities Safely operate commercial passenger vehicles in accordance with state and local traffic laws, vehicle codes, and transportation safety regulations. Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking. Conduct vehicle inspections before each shift to ensure compliance with safety standards; perform heavy lifting when necessary for vehicle maintenance or passenger assistance. Respond promptly to traffic changes or route adjustments to ensure timely arrivals; implement defensive driving techniques at all times. Support customer service efforts by addressing passenger questions courteously and providing a positive transportation experience. Experience Proven experience driving buses or other large commercial vehicles such as transit buses or school buses. Knowledge of traffic laws, vehicle operation codes, and transportation safety regulations specific to passenger transport. Multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse communities effectively. ; training will be provided if needed.
