is seeking a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Freight Transportation Coordinator to support daily freight movement, shipment scheduling, dispatch coordination, and delivery operations. This position will coordinate transportation activities from pickup through final delivery, maintain accurate shipping records, communicate with drivers and carriers, and help resolve time-sensitive logistics issues. The ideal candidate is proactive, customer-focused, and comfortable managing multiple shipments in a fast-paced transportation environment. Responsibilities Coordinate daily freight shipments, pickups, deliveries, and transportation schedules Communicate with drivers, carriers, customers, brokers, warehouses, and logistics partners Monitor shipment progress and proactively communicate delays, delivery changes, and other exceptions Schedule pickup and delivery appointments with customers, warehouses, and distribution facilities Prepare and maintain bills of lading, rate confirmations, delivery receipts, freight invoices, and shipment records Maintain accurate shipment information in Transportation Management Systems (TMS), dispatch software, and internal databases Assist with load planning, route coordination, carrier assignments, and transportation capacity Track delivery performance, transportation costs, carrier service levels, and key operational metrics Investigate and resolve missed appointments, shipment delays, damaged freight, shortages, and documentation discrepancies Support freight claims and maintain complete documentation for transportation incidents Coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure freight is properly prepared, loaded, documented, and dispatched Provide customers with timely and accurate shipment status updates Follow company transportation procedures, applicable DOT and FMCSA requirements, and safety standards Requirements Previous experience in freight, trucking, transportation, logistics, dispatch, or supply chain preferred Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent written and verbal communication Strong attention to detail and accuracy with transportation documentation Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive shipments simultaneously Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook Ability to work independently and effectively with drivers, carriers, customers, and internal teams Preferred Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Business Administration, or a related field Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), dispatch platforms, fleet management software, or freight brokerage systems Familiarity with FTL, LTL, regional, long-haul, and expedited freight operations Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations, Hours of Service (HOS), and Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs) Experience with ERP systems, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), or freight management software Strong Excel and logistics reporting skills Pay & Benefits Competitive pay: $25.2 - $30.2 per hour , based on experience Performance-based bonus opportunities Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan with company matching Paid time off and company holidays Professional development and transportation industry training Career advancement opportunities Collaborative, fast-paced, and operations-focused work environment Why JoinCARGO EXPRESS 876 LLC.
