Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced MOT Foreman with Traffic Control Certification to lead roadway and construction site operations. In this dynamic role, you will oversee heavy equipment activities, ensure safety compliance, and coordinate traffic control measures to facilitate efficient and safe construction projects. Duties Supervise daily operations of heavy machinery including dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, dump trucks, and front loader trucks to ensure optimal performance and safety. Coordinate traffic control for work zones by implementing traffic management plans in compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations. Oversee roadway construction activities such as paving, highway maintenance, and road repairs while ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Operate or assist in operating heavy equipment like Caterpillar machinery and power tools necessary for construction tasks. Conduct manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and use of hand tools to support construction activities on-site. Ensure all team members follow safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), welding safety, and mechanical knowledge protocols. Maintain accurate documentation of daily operations, safety inspections, equipment maintenance logs, and incident reports. Collaborate with project managers and team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Skills Extensive experience operating heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, dump trucks, and front loader trucks. Strong knowledge of road construction techniques including paving and highway maintenance procedures. Proven ability to manage construction site activities within civil infrastructure projects effectively. Familiarity with FMCSA regulations governing commercial truck driving and transportation safety standards. Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience working with power tools, welding equipment, and Caterpillar machinery. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently in outdoor work environments. Excellent understanding of traffic control measures for work zones ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Prior experience working on roadway or civil infrastructure projects with a focus on safety protocol adherence. Strong leadership skills to supervise crews effectively while promoting a culture of safety and teamwork. Good communication skills for coordinating with team members, project managers, and regulatory agencies.
