Location:

North Campus Job Summary Oversees enterprise transportation to ensure efficient and cost-effective movement of goods. Develops and implements strategies to optimize routes, reduce costs, manage relationships with carriers, and ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies. Key Responsibilities

Advises team members on transportation best practices, including safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance, to ensure optimal operations.

Assists manager in developing and implementing strategic plans that align transportation activities with overall business objectives and operational goals.

Coordinates processes and assignments to ensure the timely and efficient movement of goods, optimizing routes, and managing logistics challenges.

Defines project terms and establishes timelines for transportation initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and resource availability.

Devises solutions to transportation-related issues, such as delays, vehicle breakdowns, and compliance challenges, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

Directs workflow of the transportation team, ensuring that daily operations, including fleet management, scheduling, and route planning, are performed effectively.

Ensures compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards, both internally and externally, including DOT, OSHA, and other applicable laws.

Evaluates performance of transportation operations by reviewing data and reports on delivery times, costs, and service levels, making recommendations for improvement.

Implements systems and software to improve tracking, reporting, and management of transportation activities, enhancing overall efficiency.

Performs other duties as assigned

Complies with all policies and standards

Manages staff performance and development, coaching team members to achieve their full potential in contributing to the department's goals.
