A Transportation Manager coordinates transportation operations within an organization or a company or directs the activities of an organization that provides transportation services.
Schneider is seeking a Fleet Manager in Savannah to serve as a coach to a group of owner-operator truck drivers who do business with Schneider. The Fleet Manager will talk to owner-operators about business-related issues and answer any questions they have related to their lease with Schneider.
Responsibilities:
Facilitate owner-operator business sessions. Ensure compliance with owner-operators' leases. Administer operating standards concerning public safety and regulatory compliance within Schneider and Federal Motor Carrier Regulations.
Skills and qualifications:
Bachelor's degree. Minimum of two years of transportation experience preferred. Have strong written and oral communication skills. Have solid analytical skills. Can take initiative. Able to understand how data drives technology.
