Summary As a Driver Manager at Premier Transportation, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing our drivers and ensuring the smooth operation of our transportation services. This position is essential to maintaining our high standards of customer service and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Dispatch and coordinate FTL loads to company drivers or contracted carriers. Plan daily routes, pickup and delivery schedules, and driver assignments. Monitor shipments and communicate with drivers throughout transit. Coordinate appointment times with shippers and receivers. Track driver hours, equipment availability, and load status. Communicate with brokers and customers regarding pickup, delivery, delays, and exceptions. Negotiate or assist with freight rates when applicable. Verify load information, including commodity, weight, dimensions, pickup/delivery requirements, and special instructions. Enter and maintain shipment information in TMS, dispatch, and transportation systems. Resolve service issues, delays, missed appointments, breakdowns, and other transportation problems. Ensure drivers have accurate pickup and delivery instructions and required documentation. Monitor detention, layover, TONU, and other accessorial charges. Maintain communication with customers and carriers to provide accurate shipment updates. Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable

requirements. Work with operations and maintenance teams to minimize equipment and driver downtime. Requirements Minimum of 2 years of prior Driver Manager experience in the trucking industry (required) Proven experience in trucking, logistics, or transportation operations Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Proficient in Microsoft Excel, MS Office Suite, and Outlook (experienced level) Working knowledge of dispatch and logistics software preferred Knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation laws strongly preferred High school diploma or equivalent required; additional logistics or transportation training is a plus Strong customer service mindset
