Job Description
Denham-Blythe is currently seeking a Transportation Coordinator. The Transportation Coordinator operates vehicles and transports tools, materials, and equipment between the Warehouse and jobsites. This role ensures that products are delivered safely, accurately, and on time. Denham-Blythe is based in the southeast, but with a national reach, we are a true design-build firm that offers clients a simplified construction experience with a single-source partner that can help improve a project's schedule, costs, and quality. Founded in Lexington, KY in 1976, Denham-Blythe offers customers expertise in design, construction management and general construction services from offices in Kentucky, Tennessee, and South Carolina. Essential Functions Operates company vehicles safely and in compliance with all state and national safety regulations and standards Loads, unloads, and secures tools and materials for transport Makes deliveries and collects items according to assigned schedule Keeps exterior and interior of vehicle clean and presentable. This includes vehicles being utilized by the Transportation Coordinator and Company pool/spare vehicles Completes documentation when necessary, i.e. pre-trip inspection and logbook Attends one safety meeting per quarter Assists with tool inventory, inspects items returned to the shop, and ensures that tools or equipment being deployed to jobsites are in safe and good operable condition Cleans and organizes the Warehouse as directed Assists the Fleet Mechanic as requested Other duties as assigned Requirements and Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Able to follow verbal directions and follow GPS Basic math and record-keeping skills Reliable and punctual Ability to work independently and as part of a team Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test Must have a clean Motor Vehicle Report Physical Demands Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Physically able to reach, stretch, bend, and sit for long periods of time during daily routine Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent Previous warehouse or delivery driving experience preferred Must have
