Job overview: M & M Transport Services is seeking a Senior Transportation Manager in Jessup, MD to carry out the planning and scheduling of transportation operations. The Senior Transportation Manger will work closely with drivers and customers to ensure timely shipments and compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations.

Responsibilities:

Enter loads into various systems and software. Plan loads and routes. Track and schedule drivers and freight. Work with multiple customers. Conduct capacity planning to best utilize drivers. Plan and dispatch according to drivers' and customers' preferences. Proactively communicate shipment details to customers, vendors and drivers. Communicate effectively with drivers and internal company departments. Qualifications - External Skills and qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of load planning or scheduling experience in the trucking industry. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and the ability to apply them to drivers' daily workloads. Ability to multi-task in high volume and high stress situations. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs. Comprehensive understanding of driver utilization and route planning. Experience working in TMW, EDI and ELD preferred. Strong attention to detail. Exceptional driver hiring skills.
