Job Description
SummaryKeep our transportation network running smoothly as a key member of our logistics team. As a Transportation Coordinator, you will coordinate and dispatch shipments to fleet drivers and carriers using company systems, ensuring on-time, efficient deliveries. You will serve as a daily partner and advocate for drivers, providing clear communication, real-time support, and helping maintain safety and compliance standards. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, solutions-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in keeping people, freight, and operations moving seamlessly.
This position has a target wage of $20.80

Schedule :
Monday through Friday, 9:00am-6:00pmPrincipal Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Perform daily dispatch function to maintain route compliance and maximize driver weekly shipments and miles
- Coordinate internal and external customer backhauls
- Communicate to internal and external customers to include answering drivers, carrier and plant daily calls and messaging
- Assist fleet supervisors with maintaining driver safety compliance eligibility; routing drivers for random DOT drug test, DOT physicals, and meetings as necessary
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school graduate
- 2-3 years' experience in transportation or related field. Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Strong systems aptitude and must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications with an emphasis on Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of Transportation Operations and Supply Chain Management.
- College degree in a related field is preferred. (Experience may substitute for education).Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors
- Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings
- May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another
- May need to access files, supplies and equipment
- Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
