Your mission:

design and run a world‑class logistics system that protects production continuity, elevates customer service, and optimizes working capital across multiple sites. Outcomes you'll deliver (first 12 months) Stable, level production schedules supported by right‑time inbound material flow. Improved OTIF, shorter transit times, and better freight efficiency. Warehouse layouts and labor models that increase throughput and accuracy while reducing damage. Compliant, audit‑ready global trade processes (USMCA, documentation, IMDS, chemical traceability). Clear dashboards in QAD and supporting tools; clean master data. Year‑over‑year logistics cost reductions and CI projects realized. Core responsibilities Materials & Transportation Plan and manage inbound, outbound, and intercompany shipments across domestic and international modes. Guarantee timely, accurate delivery of raw materials and finished goods; lead shipping/receiving. Enter and validate customer and internal orders in QAD with correct pricing and details. Establish and enforce SOPs; serve as the go‑to for logistics best practices. Continuously monitor OTIF, transit times, and freight efficiency; act quickly on deviations. Warehousing & Inventory Own internal and 3PL operations: receiving, storage, picking, packing, shipping, recycling, wash & pack, and inventory control. Engineer facility layout, space usage, and labor plans to boost productivity. Meet safety, quality, and environmental requirements. Drive KPIs for productivity, accuracy, and material damage reduction. Manage raw, finished, and consignment inventory at customer locations, including inventory accuracy, pricing, and product receiving. Trade Compliance & Documentation Ensure compliance with U.S. and international regulations and USMCA requirements. Prepare and manage hazardous waste manifests per regulations. Oversee the accuracy of international shipping documentation and support trade audits. Support IMDS reporting and maintain chemical traceability per regulatory and customer needs. Lead relationships with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and international providers. Planning, CI, and Visibility Partner with the Compliance and Sustainability Manager for alignment on environmental, regulatory, and trade topics. Collaborate with tooling contractors and internal teams to ensure logistics support and material readiness. Assist and coordinate Material Planning and Production (MPP) activities to prepare for planning meetings. Develop and manage logistics/inventory budgets; support carrier sourcing and negotiations. Identify cost and process improvements using continuous improvement methodologies. Use ERP (QAD) to run logistics and inventory; maintain master data accuracy. Publish reports and dashboards for leadership. Optimize a production control function that provides level schedules to manufacturing areas. Advance visual systems that communicate schedule status; partner with customers and manufacturing to reduce demand/production variability and safety stock. Leadership Supervise and develop logistics and inventory personnel. Work closely with Manufacturing, Planning, Procurement, Finance, Quality, and Customer Service. Support new product launches, site expansions, and network changes. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, Business, or related field. 7+ years in manufacturing logistics and inventory management. Expert knowledge of inventory control, warehouse operations, and transportation management. ERP and inventory systems proficiency. Proven vendor, budget, and KPI management experience. Advanced Excel capability (charts and formulas). Preferred QAD ERP experience. Knowledge of ITAR, CTPAT, and Free Trade Zones. Experience with outsourced production and coordinating supplier logistics timing and movement.
