Join a Growing Team DreamScapes Landscaping & Design is seeking a highly motivated Fleet Manager / Working Mechanic to oversee and maintain our fleet of trucks, trailers, landscape equipment, and shop operations. This is a leadership position for someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems, and building systems that keep a growing company productive and efficient. We are open to candidates from a variety of backgrounds including diesel mechanics, equipment mechanics, farm operations, construction, transportation, military mechanics, or field leaders who have developed strong mechanical and leadership skills. We are looking for a self-starter who can work independently, prioritize repairs, manage preventative maintenance, and help lead our fleet operations into the future. Responsibilities Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on: Pickup trucks Dump trucks Skid steers Mini excavators Landscape equipment Trailers Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules. Track repairs, service intervals, and equipment history. Coordinate outside repairs and warranty work when necessary. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional shop environment. Manage parts inventory and shop supplies. Assist with equipment inspections and seasonal preparation. Help improve accountability and efficiency within the fleet and shop operation. Respond to occasional field breakdowns and emergency repairs. Lead by example and provide direction when needed. Qualifications Previous leadership experience preferred. Foreman, crew leader, farm manager, shop manager, military, or similar leadership experience is highly valued. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities. Diesel technology degree preferred but not required. Experience working on trucks, construction equipment, agricultural equipment, or landscape equipment. Must own a basic set of mechanic tools. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently. Positive attitude and team-first mindset. Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical work as needed. Valid driver's license required. Licensing Requirements Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening. CDL preferred. Candidates without a CDL must be willing and able to obtain one after hire. DreamScapes will help the right candidate obtain their CDL.
