Ford Storage is seeking a highly organized and proactive Transportation & Logistics Coordinator to manage end-to-end supply chain movements for a dedicated customer account. Operating at the intersection of warehousing and trucking, this critical role is responsible for accepting customer tenders with guidance from our Fleet Operations Manager, scheduling freight, and meticulously tracking loads across our network. You will serve as the central hub connecting the customers' manufacturing plants, the distribution center (DC), and final customer destinations, ensuring the seamless flow of both raw materials and finished goods.
Key Responsibilities Tender Management:
Process, review, and coordinate incoming freight tenders from the customer while working with the Fleet Manager ensuring capacity and schedule alignment.
Network Coordination:
Synchronize and schedule all freight movements between supplying plants, the distribution center (DC), and final customer delivery points.
End-to-End Tracking:
Monitor real-time status of active loads for both inbound raw materials and outbound finished goods, proactively resolving transit delays.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Act as the primary operational link between plant production teams, warehouse staff, dispatchers, and customer service contacts.
Inventory & Dock Scheduling:
Align transportation arrival windows with warehouse capacity to ensure efficient unloading of materials and loading of finished products.
Documentation & Compliance:
Verify and maintain critical shipping documents, including Bills of Lading (BOL), freight manifests, and customer delivery confirmations.
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
2-4 years of logistics coordination experience working specifically within a trucking, warehousing, or 3PL environment.
Industry Knowledge:
Solid understanding of both raw material replenishment cycles and finished goods distribution mechanics.
Technical Proficiency:
Hands-on experience using Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), or customer EDI portals.
Communication:
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively manage relationships with drivers, plant managers, and dedicated customer contacts.
Problem-Solving:
High adaptability and speed in resolving transit disruptions, scheduling conflicts, or warehouse delays.
