Job Summary Tri-State Medical Group is seeking an experienced Regional Transportation Director to oversee daily transportation operations throughout the Philadelphia region, ensuring efficiency and smooth execution across our emergency and non-emergency medical transportation services. This role will oversee multiple Philadelphia-area operations and work closely with local managers, dispatchers, field staff, and our maintenance team. The Regional Transportation Director will focus on optimizing routes, maximizing team performance, maintaining fleet availability, and ensuring daily operations run smoothly across the region. Responsibilities Oversee daily Philadelphiaarea operations to ensure smooth execution and operational efficiency. Manage and work closely with BLS/EMS management, dispatchers, schedulers, and other operational staff to ensure optimal performance and coordination. Ensure that all routes are optimized for efficiency and timely service delivery. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as needed to achieve targets. Collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement best practices and standards for emergency and nonemergency medical transportation services. Prepare and present reports on regional performance and initiatives to senior management. Collaborate with HR on staffing needs, scheduling, and resource management. Maintain accurate and uptodate records of broker and contracted trips, including MTM, ModivCare, Masonic, Trinity, Genesis, VA trips, etc., and ensure compliance with Company policies. Assess incoming runs from the pipeline and determine how to fit them into existing routes and schedules. Ensure efficient handling of schedules, logistics, realtime problemsolving, and effective communication between dispatch, management, and field teams. Work closely with the mechanics and maintenance team to ensure ambulances and transportation vehicles are properly maintained, repaired, and available for service. Monitor vehicles that are out of service and coordinate with the garage to prioritize repairs based on operational needs and minimize vehicle downtime. Ensure the region has adequate vehicle availability to support daily ALS, BLS, and nonemergency transportation volume. Monitor operational processes and resolve issues to avoid service disruptions. Ensure effective communication and coordination across Philadelphia-area operations. Report to senior management on operational performance and recommend improvements where necessary. Requirements
STATE EMT
License Preferred Proven experience in a leadership role within a multi-site organization. Experience in EMS, ambulance operations, medical transportation, or a related transportation environment preferred. Strong understanding of dispatch, scheduling, fleet management, and daily transportation operations. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse teams. Ability to work closely with maintenance and garage personnel to ensure fleet readiness and minimize vehicle downtime. Ability to travel within the Philadelphia region as required. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
