Fleet Manager
Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Fleet Operations Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day management of our vehicle fleet. This position is responsible for ensuring the safety, efficiency, compliance, and overall performance of the organization's fleet operations. The ideal candidate will have experience coordinating vehicle maintenance, managing vendor relationships, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting efficient fleet operations. This role plays a critical part in maintaining vehicle availability, controlling operating costs, and promoting driver safety. Key Responsibilities Coordinate daily fleet operations for company-owned vehicles. Schedule and monitor preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs. Track vehicle utilization, fuel consumption, mileage, and maintenance expenses. Ensure compliance with all applicable DOT, FMCSA, state, and local regulations. Maintain accurate records for registrations, inspections, driver licenses, insurance, and vehicle service histories. Work closely with drivers, supervisors, and vendors to resolve vehicle-related issues. Manage relationships with repair facilities, fuel providers, and fleet service vendors. Monitor fleet performance and recommend improvements to reduce downtime and operating costs. Assist with vehicle procurement, replacement planning, and disposal activities. Investigate vehicle incidents and coordinate documentation, reporting, and corrective actions. Utilize fleet management software and telematics systems to track performance metrics. Prepare monthly reports on maintenance expenses, vehicle availability, fuel consumption, and safety compliance. Support company safety initiatives and driver training programs. Ensure all vehicles are equipped with working GPS tracking devices. Assist in implementing and maintaining safety protocols to identify and address potential risks. Perform administrative duties related to fleet management, recordkeeping, and reporting. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. 1-3 years of experience in fleet management, transportation, logistics, operations, or vehicle maintenance. Experience as a Fleet Coordinator, Logistics Coordinator, Dispatcher, or in a similar role preferred. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance programs and fleet operations. Understanding of DOT, FMCSA, and transportation compliance requirements. Experience working with fleet management software, telematics, and GPS tracking systems. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and reporting tools. Pay:
