Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. Position Overview The Terminal Supervisor leads the day-to-day operations of the Rochester terminal, ensuring the safe handling, storage, packaging, and distribution of cement products while supporting a small team. What You'll Be Doing Lead daily terminal operations, including bulk material handling, inventory control, bagging, packaging, and truck loading activities. Supervise, coach, and engage employees while promoting accountability and teamwork. Coordinate incoming material deliveries, monitor silo inventories, and maintain operational records. Partner with customers, logistics teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure product availability and timely service. Support equipment reliability through inspections, basic troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and site upkeep. Ensure compliance with company policies and all applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. What Are We Looking For Demonstrated ability to lead teams and create a safe, respectful, and productive work environment. Strong operational judgment with the ability to prioritize activities, respond effectively to changing needs, and diagnose and assist in resolving operational issues to ensure business continuity. Effective communication and collaboration skills across employees, customers, vendors, and internal partners. Ability to monitor inventory, interpret operational information, and maintain accurate records. Commitment to continuous improvement, safety, customer service, and operational excellence. Work Environment Demonstrated ability to lead teams and create a safe, respectful, and productive work environment. Strong operational judgment with the ability to prioritize activities, respond effectively to changing needs, and diagnose and assist in resolving operational issues to ensure business continuity. Mechanical aptitude and the ability to identify and help resolve equipment or operational issues. Computer skills and experience maintaining records, inventory, or operational data.
