Temporary Transportation Event Coordinator Vestal, NY (Near Binghamton University)
Pay:
$25.00/hour Successful completion of this event may lead to consideration for additional special event opportunities in the coming months. Schedule Thursday, October 8: 4:00 PM
  • 5:45 PM (Paid for 4 hours) Friday, October 9: 9:15 AM
  • 6:30 PM Saturday, October 10: 8:10 AM
  • 10:30 AM (Paid for 4 hours) Overview Seeking a dependable, professional individual to assist with college student transportation operations during a busy Fall Break travel weekend.
This position will serve as the on-site point of contact for passengers, drivers, and the operations team. Responsibilities Welcome and direct passengers to the correct boarding location. Communicate with the operations team using Slack and Driver's App. Monitor bus arrivals and departures and provide operational updates. Assist with passenger check-in and boarding. Ensure drivers follow designated pickup and parking procedures. Direct drivers to approved staging and parking locations. Prevent buses from using adjacent parking areas and address parking concerns professionally. Report issues and escalate concerns to the operations team as needed. Requirements Strong communication and customer service skills. Strong technical aptitude and the ability to quickly learn and master mobile applications. Comfortable using smartphone applications throughout the shift, including Slack and Driver's App. Ability to troubleshoot basic app and connectivity issues independently. Ability to communicate confidently and professionally with both passengers and drivers. Comfortable enforcing established parking and boarding procedures. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. This is a temporary assignment supporting college student travel during Fall Break and requires a professional, customer-focused individual who can effectively manage both passenger interactions and operational responsibilities.
