As the Transportation Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient, safe, and timely delivery of our products while navigating the complexities of state and federal regulations in an ever-changing business landscape. Managerial responsibilities including scheduling, logistics, hiring, training, and performance management. This position will also provide leadership, coaching, and training to transportation staff, as well as ensuring accountability and compliance with company policies. The Transportation Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing all facets of our Oregon transportation department, with the ability to directly contribute to our company's regional expansion and overall business growth. Responsibilities Personnel Management:
Lead and manage a dedicated team within the transportation department, overseeing hiring, training, and day-to-day supervision.
Equipment Management:
Manage and maintain the transportation fleet, ensuring all vehicles are in optimal condition and compliant with safety standards.
Operational Efficiency:
Strategically organize and adjust transportation schedules to ensure the timely delivery of products, optimizing routes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness, and utilizing your experience to streamline processes.
Compliance Management:
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of state and federal regulations governing the transportation industry. Ensure that the transportation department adheres to all relevant compliance standards.
Culture Management:
Foster a culture of camaraderie, safety, accountability, and continuous improvement within the transportation team. Qualifications Minimum of three (3) years of transportation department management.
