Job Description

Operations Manager The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure that all traffic control services provided to the client is reliable, on-time, well trained, and safe to ensure an organized operation. This position will oversee the entire office and field including the Office Administrator, Dispatchers and field positions. The Operations Manager will be expected to complete new hire processes, new hire orientations, and all trainings. The Operations Manager directly reports to the Regional Manager.
Responsibilities:
Complete written reports as required on vehicular deficiencies, accidents, incidents, complaints, employee injuries, and other issues as may be required from time to time Create and implement effective strategies to foster business growth Oversee all office and field staff Collaborate with Field Supervisors in site auditing and inspection to ensure all job sites are compliant and operating within protocols. Visit clients within a75-mileradiusfromoffice location daily Ability to spend split working timeof50% in the office and 50% in the field Conducting safety meetings, documenting personnel issues, and maintaining a positive high morale to foster teamwork Knows and follows the safety and health rules, as well as safe working practices applicable to Traffic Control Ability to generate management requested reports as needed Build and maintain relations with current customers Send new customers to our business development staff Coordinate safety meetings and required trainings, as well as conduct weekly meetings with Field Supervisors Responsible for hiring and terminating and documenting employees after communication and verification with Supervisors and Human Resources Oversee all purchases for the office, including managing office budgets with proven knowledge of P&L and financials Maintain proper inventory for operations in the field, including trucks, GPS, signs, GSF's, tablets, and more Maintain and account for vehicles and equipment at the office Ability to respond and assist before or after business hours Proactive, well-organized, and can manage multiple, simultaneous projects Have a general knowledge of all job functions for direct reports Must be able to work various shifts as required Additional duties as assigned
Requirements/Skills:
Construction Management Experience preferred Traffic Control Management preferred; experience managing crews or fleets in logistics/couriers a plus Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Office 365 suite Strong interpersonal skills providing guidance, direction, and assistance Result-oriented and customer service resolution skills Comprehensive understanding of Operations Management, LEAN/Kaizen, Operations Metrics, and Operational Excellence Excellent problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Comfortable in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment Maintain a clean and professional appearance Willing to travel Must have a valid driver's license, maintain a clean driving record, and have reliable transportation Working after standard business hours, on weekend, and holidays as needed Must be 18 years of age or older Ability to pass all pre-employment screenings Required to adhere to all policies and procedures
Required Certifications:
Complete ATSSA, TCT, and Defensive Driver classes within 6 months of hire Complete monthly trainings distributed from corporate Traffic Control Supervisor (TCS) certification preferred but not required; candidates without this must obtain within 60 days of hire Equal Employment Opportunities Employer
