Summary Description :

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Driver Manager is responsible for managing the drivers and responding to all driver calls. The Driver Manager ensures optimal truck driver performance by managing revenue, driver's time off, and maintenance records. The Driver Manager's primary responsibility is to ensure loads are delivered to customers according to schedule. The Driver Manager must collaborate with management, the dispatch team, and the drivers to ensure all fleet is operating at its highest capacity.

Job Responsibilities:

Manages the drivers and works to improve processes which will, int turn, improve efficiencies. Maintains high-level knowledge regarding Fleet issues and investigates resolution opportunities, applying strategic thinking and problem- solving skills where appropriate. Engages in critical and confidential aspects of the Fleet Operations process. Provides overall prioritization of work assignments and management of functional team resources and their activities. Responsible for supervising company trucks and managing the owner-operators and preventative maintenance of all Detmar units. Plans, Develops, coordinates, and implements processes and procedures related to drivers' days off schedule and the days off calendar. Responsible for ensuring all information for onboarding drivers are cleared from orientation and given all supporting information for them to do their duties. Coordinates days off with the driver to ensure preventative truck maintenance is completed.
