Oak Grove Transport is an independent contractor to FedEx Ground/Home Delivery. We are seeking a reliable and self-motivated professional to manage the day-to-day operations and staff of Oak Grove Transport at the Oshkosh location. This position requires excellent leadership and decision making skills as well as the ability to communicate effectively. This job is located in Oshkosh, WI. Pay is $75,000 base salary with a possible bonus of up to an additional $10,000.

Qualifications:

Previous management experience or previous FedEx experience preferred Must be 21 years or older Clean driving record with no accidents and no more than 1 minor violation in the last three years Must pass drug screen and DOT physical Must pass background check

Job Requirements:

Driver Management:

Responsible for hiring, orientation, and driver retention. Must ensure an adequate number of staff is maintained to complete all assigned runs. Maintain a high level of professionalism and support for staff members.

Fleet Management:

Oversee the everyday operations of a fleet of 10+ trucks, scheduling/tracking routine maintenance and repairs of vehicles.

Scheduling and Dispatch:

Responsible for understanding and estimating the daily service needs of FedEx and its customers, scheduling drivers according to hours of service guidelines, managing equipment needs, dispatching drivers and optimizing routes for efficiency.

Technology:

Use of some technology and applications such as Ground Cloud, iPad and mobile scanner.

Safety:

Perform biweekly team safety meetings as well as one-on-one training as needed. Ensure proper pre-trip and post-trip inspections are being performed. Proper documentation and reporting of accidents.

Delivery Driving:

As required by circumstance and variable volumes, may need to drive assigned or overflow routes as needed to support the team.

Rental Trucks:

Oversee all aspects of renting, operating, insuring and returning rental trucks.

Reporting:

Report daily/weekly to upper management to ensure routes and procedures are running.
