Terminal Manager

Job Description

Lead Operations. Develop People. Drive Results. Are you a strong leader with a passion for operations, team development, and customer service? We are seeking a Fleet Manager to take full ownership of fleet growth, facility operations, driver satisfaction, and team performance while helping develop the next generation of leaders. In this role, you'll oversee daily operations, lead both driver and non-driver employees, ensure equipment availability, maintain facilities, and drive continuous improvement efforts that support organizational success. What You'll Do Lead, coach, and develop drivers and support staff to achieve operational goals. Recruit, interview, hire, and train team members while fostering a positive, accountable work environment. Monitor driver satisfaction, retention, and turnover, serving as a primary point of contact for drivers. Identify opportunities to improve fleet productivity, equipment utilization, and operational efficiency. Collaborate with shop personnel to ensure equipment availability and minimize downtime. Analyze reports and performance metrics to drive informed business decisions. Manage facility and grounds maintenance to ensure a safe, clean, and professional environment. Control operational costs while maximizing profitability. Provide recommendations to senior leadership regarding organizational improvements. Support recruiting efforts by attending driver recruiting events as needed. Travel occasionally for training, support, and operational needs.
What We're Looking For:
Required Skills & Abilities Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Proven organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines. Ability to coach, motivate, and develop employees. Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products. Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving standards. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university preferred; OR One to two years of related leadership or operations experience; OR An equivalent combination of education and experience. Certifications Preferred Breath Alcohol Technician Certification Specimen Collector for Drug Testing Certification Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer. Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Why Join Us? Pay:
$65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
