Job Description

Assists in a variety of administrative matters; maintains a wide variety of financial or other records; verifies statistical reports for accuracy and completeness; and handles complaints. Position requires a thorough knowledge of an office's work and routine to:

+ Choose among widely varying methods and procedures to process transactions.

+ Select or devise steps necessary to complete assignments. Documents all work details (e.g., problem isolation, corrective actions, notes, and material cost documentation) in the WCS. Additional Information

+ This is a full-time, non-exempt position protected by a Collective Bargaining Agreement.

+ Must be able to pass background investigation and be granted access/clearance to Marshall Space Flight Center; will also be required to pass a drug test.

+ US Citizenship required. Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.

+ Must be able to present a REAL ID credentialed identification whenever accessing federal and DOD installations; access will be denied without one.

  • Responsibilities
  • + Excellent communication skills; ability to communicate at all levels to include senior executives, orally and in writing.

+ Coordinates all maintenance activities between customers, vendors, and mechanics.

+ Coordinate workload leveling with supervisor before assigning work in workorder system.

+ Experienced user of Microsoft Office suite, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.

+ Experienced with IBM Maximo, or an equivalent work order control system used to schedule and support the processing and management of work orders and work order scheduling.

+ Facilitate workorder assignments with heavy equipment mechanics.

+ Monitor Preventative Maintenance activities. Experienced with Flow Master, or an equivalent, fuel management system.

+ Monitor fuel station usage of regular unleaded gasoline, diesel, fuel-oil, and alternative fuels (e.g., E85 and biodiesel); maintains fuels records; submits request for replacement bulk fuel; and coordinates center-wide delivery of fuel for large vehicles, equipment and emergency generators.

+ Manages and issues electronic keys to customers for dispensing and logging fuel at the center fuel station.

+ Supports customer with collection of end-of-year fuel usage and EPAct submission.

Experienced with key control:

+ Responsible for controlling, issuing and replacing vehicle keys, and maintaining spares.

Experienced with GSA fleet operations:

+ Schedules vehicles for offsite preventative maintenance, and repairs.

+ Coordinates pickup of replacement or additional vehicles, and the turn-in of old vehicles.

+ Knowledge of the Federal Motor Vehicle Registration System.

Experienced with vehicle renting:

+ Coordinator for short-term bus rentals for special events and VIP tours.

  • + Associates Degree and 3 years' experience or 5 years equivalent experience without a degree. + Experience with Flow Master, or an equivalent, fuel management system. + Experience with GSA fleet operations. + Experience with vehicle renting.
