View More Jobs Transportation Supervisor Moreno Valley, CA, United States Job Description The Transportation Supervisor is responsible for managing drivers and the dispatch operations within an assigned region and all outbound DSC loads.
Additional Information:
Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM This position is also eligible for bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company's applicable plans. Responsibilities
  • Manage approximately thirty (30+) full-time drivers and all phases of the pick-up and delivery operation, including customer service, productivity, quality freight handling, and claims prevention
  • Responsible, in whole or in part, for recruitment, hiring, training, scheduling, development, supervision, performance management and discipline of drivers
  • Manage driver schedules, including, but not limited to, ensuring the availability of drivers in light of weather-related delays, emergency medical situations, and accidents
  • Review driver logging for compliance and supporting driver logging activities
  • Supervise fleet assets and expense planning to ensure maximum utilization and cost effectiveness
  • Maintain a high degree of customer interaction through the scheduling of customer deliveries and receiving of pick up requests
  • Implement action plans to address customer service concerns involving deliveries
  • Resolve scheduling conflicts to maintain driver staffing requirements for assigned region's fleet
  • Ensure that all facility policies, practices, and procedures are in compliance with company guidelines and applicable Federal, State, and local laws, including DOT regulations
  • Ensure operating objectives for the CTS Fleet are met.
These parameters include Tractor/Trailer utilization, maximization of profits and service levels, ensuring conformity to goals and objectives, training and motivating of subordinates, and supporting continuous improvement in the

  • Maintain ISO certification, focusing on customer needs, and supporting the goal of maintaining VPP Certification
  • Monitor drivers to ensure best practices are consistently used Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have the legal right to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship now or in the future for employment visa status
  • Must have prior experience in logistics or planning and scheduling experience. Preferred Qualifications
  • Have a least a bachelor's degree or higher in Materials Management, Supply Chain, Logistics or Business
  • Have experience working with OTR/Commercial Truck Drivers
  • Have systems knowledge of Kronos, Samsara, AWCS, & HR Cloud.
