As an Irrigation Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining, repairing, and installing irrigation systems for commercial properties, ensuring compliance with California state regulations and water conservation standards. Responsibilities Maintain, repair, and install commercial irrigation systems in accordance with California state regulations and company standards. Conduct routine inspections and troubleshooting of irrigation systems to ensure optimal performance and water efficiency. Read and interpret irrigation plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. Support Crew Leaders and Production Managers by overseeing assigned field jobs and assisting with job quality evaluations. Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and production standards, including compliance with Cal/OSHA regulations. Promptly report any employee injuries, liability claims, or suspected violations of company policies or regulations. Respond to client and internal requests or complaints in a timely and professional manner, typically within 24 hours. Foster a team-oriented work environment and maintain positive, professional interactions with clients, vendors, and colleagues. Keep company vehicles, tools, and worksites clean and organized, and wear appropriate PPE and company uniform at all times. Represent Stay Green Inc. positively within the community and maintain confidentiality regarding company operations. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED (required). Minimum of two years of experience in commercial irrigation system installation, maintenance, and repair. Experience with manifolds, controllers, backflows, meter operations, galvanized and PVC piping, drip lines, spray heads, pressure regulators, and air valves. Ability to read and understand irrigation plans and technical documents. Valid California Class C Drivers License. Strong time management skills and ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to manage a crew of 2-3 or more team members. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (preferred). Knowledge of California water conservation laws and irrigation best practices (preferred). Familiarity with Cal/OSHA safety standards related to landscaping and irrigation (preferred). Certified Irrigation Technician (CIT) or related certification (preferred but not required).
