Job Title:
Sod Crew Lead Role Purpose The Sod Crew Lead is a working leadership role responsible for managing and directing the daily activities of the sod installation crew. This role ensures all sod installation projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to Pelor Outdoor Landscape Solutions' standards of quality and professionalism. The Sod Crew Lead serves as the key on-site leader and is accountable for crew performance, job site safety, and project execution. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Crew Management- Provide on-site leadership, direction, and supervision of the sod crew.
- Set clear performance expectations for safety, quality, and productivity.
- Train, coach, and develop crew members in proper sod installation techniques.
- Foster a positive, accountable, team-oriented work environment. Project Execution
- Lead the crew in all phases of sod installation: Site preparation, Grading, Sod layout and placement, Installation, Site clean-up.
- Ensure projects meet Pelor's quality standards and customer expectations.
- Problem-solve on site and escalate issues to the Director of Operations as needed. Operational Duties
- Communicate daily with the Director of Operations regarding schedules, materials, and equipment needs.
- Conduct pre-job site inspections and post-job quality checks.
- Accurately material usage, and job completion details which includes upload pictures and notes in jobber.
- Ensure proper use, maintenance, and security of all tools, equipment, and vehicles. Customer & Team Communication
- Represent Pelor Outdoor Landscape Solutions with professionalism at all times.
- Communicate effectively with customers on-site when needed.
- Maintain clear and timely communication with the Director of Operations regarding progress, challenges, and crew performance. Role Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of landscape or sod installation experience required; leadership experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of sod installation methods, tools, and equipment.
- Ability to lead by example with a hands-on approach.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license are required.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physical labor.

$16.00- $20.
