Utility Crew Leader

Job Description

The City of Centerville is seeking a full-time Utility Crew Leader to oversee and participate in the maintenance and repair of city water, sewer, and storm systems, streets, parks, and other public facilities. The position involves outdoor physical labor and requires working in a variety of weather conditions. Duties include supervising work crews, repairing water and sewer lines, locating underground utilities, installing water meters and service lines, maintaining sewer lift stations, operating heavy and light equipment, repairing streets and potholes, mowing, trimming trees, installing and repairing street signs, and assisting with other public works projects throughout the city. The City pays 100% of employee's health premiums and 60% of spouse and/or dependent child health premiums . Pay is dependent upon qualifications and relevant experience.
