(Department of Transportation) regulations Productivity software Full Job Description Transportation Supervisor We are looking for a Transportation Supervisor to oversee our daily transportation activities. This includes supervising Transportation team members including Delivery, Backhaul, Shuttle, and Yard Drivers. To succeed in this role, you should have thorough knowledge of and an understanding of transportation procedures, including dispatching orders, delivery products, and tracking transportation vehicles. You should also be familiar with FMCSA rules and regulations. Ultimately, you will ensure that all deliveries are on-time and delivered safely.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday with occasional weekends this is a salaried position schedule may change due to business demands.

Pay:

$65,000-$85,000 based on experience

Responsibilities:

Bi-weekly payroll processing. Perform driver safety evaluations and review. Deliver routes in the events coverage is needed. Use and review electronic driver log reports using driver log software. Ensure that all routes are covered, and all drivers are dispatched on time. Build relationships with team members and set realistic goals around shrink, cases per hour, and safety. Assist in accident investigations, reporting, follow up and discipline, if necessary, in accordance with company policies. Identify and address driver/delivery issues in a timely manner and communicate relevant information to the sales and customer solutions department. Supervise team members including recruiting, hiring, recognition, coaching, and counseling, and keeping management advised of all performance related success and issues. Supervise the day-to-day duties of the Transportation Department to meet customer and company needs while ensuring adherence to company, state and federal DOT and policies and regulations. This includes both inbound and outbound deliveries.

Requirements:

At least 21 years old CDL-A license and familiarity with FMCSA rules and regulations. At least two years of previous experience working in a similar setting. Demonstrated problem solving skills. Detail oriented and able to coordinate complex work schedules. Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate with other team members including drivers and upper management. Tech-savvy with previous experience using Microsoft Office and ability to use transportation software and other business applications.
