Lead Gutter Installer —
Experienced Crew Leader Pay:
$25+ per hour, based on demonstrated gutter installation and crew-lead experience Full-time | Fort Wayne, IN | 40+ hours Monday - Friday, occasional Saturdays Knot Just Decks is looking for an experienced gutter installer who is ready to lead a crew, take pride in finished work, and build something more than another short-term job. This position is for someone who shows up prepared, keeps their word, solves problems, and refuses to leave questionable work behind. We want a leader who treats customers, coworkers, equipment, and every home as if they matter—because they do. If you have at least two years of professional gutter installation experience, can lead people by example, and want to grow with a company that values quality and personal responsibility, we would like to meet you. What You'll Be Responsible For As Lead Gutter Installer, you will: Lead a crew through residential and commercial gutter installations Review each job, plan the work, and assign responsibilities to the crew Install 5-inch, 6-inch, and 7-inch gutter systems Install gutter protection, soffit, and fascia Troubleshoot job-site conditions and make sound installation decisions Ensure work meets company quality and safety standards before leaving the property Communicate professionally with customers and address job-site questions Train and coach less-experienced crew members Keep projects moving efficiently without sacrificing workmanship Verify that tools, equipment, vehicles, and job sites are clean and organized Take ownership when something needs to be corrected What We're Looking For The right person will have: At least two years of professional gutter installation experience The ability to independently complete quality gutter installations Experience leading a crew or clear readiness to step into leadership Working knowledge of gutter machines, hand tools, and power tools The ability to accurately measure, plan materials, and solve field problems The ability to safely work from ladders and on roofs in changing weather conditions A valid driver's license and driving record acceptable to our insurer Clear, respectful communication with customers and coworkers Dependable attendance and reliable transportation A professional appearance and respect for customers' properties The Kind of Person Who Succeeds Here You may be a strong fit if you: Do what you say you will do Arrive on time and ready to work Take responsibility instead of making excuses Notice problems and address them before they become bigger problems Set the pace while still maintaining quality and safety Treat crew members firmly, fairly, and respectfully Want greater responsibility, better skills, and an opportunity to advance Take genuine pride in seeing a clean, well-executed finished job What We Offer $25+ per hour based on demonstrated ability and experience Overtime when available at time and a half Earned paid time off Paid sick time Paid holidays IRA with up to a 3% company match SmartDollar financial wellness program Paid job-related training Steady/year-round work Paid drive time, uniform shirts A path to increased responsibility and compensation based on performance We believe strong employees should know what is expected of them, have the tools to do the work correctly, and be recognized when they deliver excellent results.
