Responsibilities Lead and supervise a crew in performing lawn care, landscape maintenance, and gardening tasks with precision and efficiency. Coordinate daily schedules for outdoor work activities, ensuring timely completion of construction projects and routine grounds maintenance. Operate grounds maintenance equipment safely, including mowers, trimmers, irrigation systems, and hardscape tools. Identify plants, trees, shrubs, and other landscape features to ensure proper care and maintenance. Manage irrigation systems—installing, repairing, adjusting watering schedules—to promote healthy plant growth. Oversee crew operations involving hardscape installation and outdoor landscaping enhancements while maintaining safety protocols. Operate company vehicles responsibly for transportation between job sites and ensure all equipment is maintained properly. Supervise team members' performance, provide training on landscaping techniques, equipment operation, and safety standards. Ensure all outdoor work complies with safety regulations and environmental best practices. Communicate effectively with clients and team members to coordinate project progress and address any issues promptly. Experience Proven experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, or groundskeeping with a strong understanding of horticulture principles. Prior supervising or crew management experience in outdoor or landscaping environments. Familiarity with irrigation management systems and troubleshooting irrigation issues. Hands-on experience operating grounds maintenance equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hardscape tools. Knowledge of construction projects related to landscaping or outdoor improvements is preferred. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively while fostering a positive work environment. Outdoor work experience in various weather conditions with an emphasis on safety and quality standards.
