Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Crew Leader specializing in Mowing to join our outdoor maintenance team. In this energetic role, you will lead a crew responsible for maintaining pristine lawns, landscapes, and grounds across various properties. Your leadership will ensure high-quality landscape maintenance, efficient operations, and safe work practices. This position offers an exciting opportunity to oversee outdoor projects, manage team performance, and contribute to beautiful, well-kept environments. The ideal candidate is passionate about lawn care, landscaping, and team management, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional grounds maintenance. Duties Lead and supervise a mowing crew to execute landscape maintenance tasks efficiently and safely across multiple sites. Oversee lawn care activities including mowing, edging, trimming, and debris removal to ensure immaculate grounds. Manage irrigation systems and coordinate irrigation management to promote healthy plant growth. Conduct plant identification and horticulture assessments to support landscape health and aesthetics. Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other landscaping tools with precision. Ensure proper operation of company vehicles and equipment while adhering to safety protocols. Manage crew schedules, assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide leadership to foster teamwork and productivity. Maintain safety standards by enforcing proper equipment use and safe work practices during all outdoor activities. Support additional landscaping duties such as tree care, gardening, and general grounds upkeep to enhance property appearance. Qualifications Proven experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, or related outdoor work environments. Demonstrated supervising or team management experience within groundskeeping or landscaping roles. Knowledge of plant identification, horticulture principles, and irrigation systems management. Skilled in operating grounds maintenance equipment including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and irrigation tools. Familiarity with hardscape elements such as pathways or retaining walls is a plus. Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and manage a crew effectively. Valid driver's license with experience operating company vehicles safely in outdoor settings. Excellent communication skills coupled with outdoor work experience in various weather conditions. Ability to perform physical tasks required for outdoor groundskeeping including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
