Job Description

RATP Dev USA is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Road Supervisor to support daily paratransit operations in Lexington, KY. The Road Supervisor will oversee service in the field, assist operators, respond to service issues, and ensure safe, reliable, and professional transportation services for our passengers. This position is ideal for an experienced transit professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and leading by example. Key Responsibilities Monitor daily paratransit operations and ensure service is delivered safely and efficiently. Supervise and support drivers while they are in service. Conduct field observations and provide coaching and guidance to operators. Respond to accidents, incidents, passenger concerns, vehicle breakdowns, and other service disruptions. Ensure drivers follow company policies, procedures, safety requirements, and applicable regulations. Assist with on-road troubleshooting and service recovery. Communicate service issues and operational updates to dispatch and management. Conduct vehicle and equipment inspections as needed. Complete required reports, incident documentation, and operational paperwork accurately and on time. Assist with driver attendance, performance, and operational concerns. Monitor adherence to schedules, routes, and passenger service requirements. Support emergency response procedures and coordinate with appropriate personnel when needed. Promote excellent customer service and professionalism among the operations team. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in public transportation, paratransit, passenger transportation, or a related field preferred. Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean or acceptable driving record. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field. Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to remain calm and professional during emergencies or service disruptions. Basic computer skills and the ability to complete electronic and written reports. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, early mornings, evenings, or other shifts based on operational needs. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, and move around vehicles and transportation facilities. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to respond quickly to operational and safety situations. Ability to perform duties in and around buses, vans, and other transit vehicles.
