401(k) Paid time off Maine Outdoor Spaces is looking for an experienced Hardscape Crew Lead / Foreman to lead one of our installation crews. We specialize in high-end residential hardscapes and complete outdoor living projects throughout Southern and Coastal Maine. Our work includes natural stone and paver patios, retaining walls, steps, porcelain, outdoor kitchens, fireplaces, landscape construction, and other custom outdoor features. This is a hands-on leadership position. You will lead a crew of 2-5 and be responsible for taking complex projects from plans and layout through final completion. We're looking for someone who already knows how to build at a high level, lead people, solve problems in the field, and take ownership of the finished product. We are a growing company and are looking for someone to grow with us. What You'll Do Lead and work alongside a 2-5 person installation crew Take projects from plans and layout through final completion, establish grades, elevations, dimensions, drainage, and layout Lead installation of patios, walls, steps, walkways, natural stone, porcelain, and other hardscape features Plan daily production and keep projects on schedule Operate skid steers, mini excavators, compactors, saws, and other hardscape equipment Coordinate jobsite materials and equipment Train and develop crew members Maintain a clean, organized, professional, and safe jobsite Communicate with project management and customers Take ownership of workmanship and the quality of the finished project Job Requirements 5+ years of professional hardscape installation experience Minimum 3 years leading crews on complex hardscape or outdoor living projects Demonstrated ability to independently take a project from plans through completion Strong knowledge of excavation, base preparation, grading, drainage, elevations, layout, paver installation, retaining walls, steps, and natural stone Ability to read landscape plans and accurately translate them into the field Proficiency with lasers/transits and establishing grades and elevations Strong skid steer and mini excavator operating skills Ability to lead, train, and hold a crew accountable while working alongside them Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to our Standish shop
