About the Role Rivers Edge Landscape Management is hiring an experienced Mow Crew Leader to lead one of our commercial mowing crews. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who takes pride in producing high-quality work, knows how to keep a crew productive and organized, and understands that the details matter. You will be responsible for safely leading your crew through its daily route, maintaining our quality standards, caring for company equipment, and making sure each property is completed efficiently and professionally. Rivers Edge maintains commercial, industrial, HOA, and other professionally managed properties throughout West Michigan. Our Crew Leaders play an important role in representing our company every day in the field and delivering the consistent service our customers expect. We offer the flexibility to work the mowing season or continue year-round with our snow and winter operations. What You'll Do As a Mow Crew Leader , you will: Lead and work alongside your crew to complete scheduled mowing routes safely, efficiently, and to Rivers Edge quality standards. Perform all aspects of professional lawn maintenance, including mowing, trimming, edging, blowing, and cleanup. Drive company trucks and trailers and ensure the safe transportation of your crew and equipment. Review daily work assignments and ensure all scheduled properties are completed correctly and on time. Train, direct, and support crew members throughout the workday. Inspect completed work and correct quality issues before leaving the property. Communicate property concerns, equipment issues, and other important information to your manager. Maintain and care for company trucks, trailers, mowers, and other equipment. Follow and enforce company safety procedures and safe equipment operation. Represent Rivers Edge professionally while working at customer properties and traveling between job sites. Seasonal or Year-Round Opportunities We understand that mowing professionals have different goals. Some prefer a busy mowing season followed by time off in the winter, while others want steady, year-round employment. Both options are available. Team members who choose to stay year-round can transition into snow and ice operations and assist with equipment, shop, and other seasonal work. Seasonal employees who perform well are welcome to return when the mowing season begins again. What We're Looking For Professional commercial lawn care or landscape maintenance experience. Previous experience leading a mowing or landscape crew strongly preferred. Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company requirements. Ability to safely operate commercial mowing equipment, trucks, and trailers. Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work. Ability to organize and lead a crew while working productively alongside them. Dependability, accountability, and a strong work ethic. Positive attitude and ability to work well as part of a team. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Willingness and ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. Compensation and Benefits Competitive pay up to $26.00 per hour , based on skill and experience. Snow pay up to $28.00 per hour , based on experience and position. Performance and company bonuses.
