Fleet and Driver Manager Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Driver Supervisor to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, and roll-off trucks. As a key player in our logistics operation, you will deliver freight efficiently while ensuring safety and compliance on every route. Your expertise in driving and load handling will contribute directly to our reputation for reliable service. Drive locally and be home daily. Key Responsibilities Driver Management o Supervise, coach, and evaluate CDL drivers. o Assign routes, loads, schedules, and daily duties. o Monitor attendance, performance, and productivity. o Address driver concerns, conflicts, and disciplinary issues. Safety & Compliance o Ensure drivers follow
DOT/FMCSA
regulations, company policies, and safety procedures. o Monitor driver qualification files, CDL status, medical cards, and required certifications. o Review hours-of-service, ELD, and inspection records. o Conduct or coordinate safety meetings, training, and coaching. o Investigate accidents, incidents, and safety violations and implement corrective actions. Fleet & Vehicle Oversight o Ensure trucks and trailers receive required inspections and preventive maintenance. o Coordinate repairs and communicate vehicle issues to maintenance teams. o Monitor vehicle condition and ensure drivers complete pre-trip/post-trip inspections. o Help minimize vehicle downtime. Documentation & Reporting o Maintain accurate driver and safety records. o Review logs, inspection reports, accident documentation, and performance reports. o Track KPIs such as on-time delivery, accidents, fuel usage, violations, and driver turnover. o Prepare reports for management. Training & Development o Train new drivers on company procedures and safety expectations. o Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback. o Identify training needs and develop corrective-action plans. Experience:
3 years Driving record within MVR policy guidelines required Skills & Competencies Time management and Organization Customer service Attention to detail Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Push up to 300 pounds on two-wheel dolly Must have the ability to repetitively lift, reach above head height, stand, walk, kneel, bend. Salary Range:
