Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Crew Leader, Lawn Care, to oversee and manage outdoor landscaping teams responsible for maintaining beautiful, healthy lawns and landscapes. In this role, you will lead crew members through various lawn care and landscape maintenance projects, ensuring high-quality work while fostering a positive team environment. Your leadership will be vital in coordinating daily operations, managing equipment, and delivering exceptional outdoor spaces for our clients. Responsibilities Lead and supervise a team of lawn care technicians and landscapers in executing maintenance and landscaping projects efficiently and safely. Oversee lawn care activities including mowing, edging, fertilizing, aerating, and weed control to ensure lush, healthy turf. Manage landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, pruning, mulching, and installing hardscaping features like patios or walkways. Coordinate irrigation system installation, repair, and maintenance to optimize water efficiency across client properties. Operate groundskeeping and landscaping equipment including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and trucks or company vehicles responsibly. Ensure all crew members follow safety protocols, proper equipment operation procedures, and environmental guidelines during outdoor work. Identify plants, trees, shrubs, and pests to maintain healthy landscapes while providing guidance on horticultural best practices. Assist with construction projects involving hardscaping or landscape improvements by supervising crew activities and ensuring project specifications are met. Manage scheduling of daily tasks, track project progress, and communicate effectively with clients regarding project updates or concerns. Foster a positive team environment through leadership that encourages collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Requirements Proven experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, or groundskeeping with a strong understanding of horticulture principles. Demonstrated supervising or team management experience in outdoor or construction settings. Knowledge of plant identification, tree care techniques, irrigation systems management, and hardscape installation is highly desirable. Ability to operate landscaping machinery and grounds maintenance equipment safely and efficiently. Experience with hardscaping construction projects such as patios or walkways is a plus. Valid driver's license with experience operating company vehicles or trucks required; clean driving record preferred. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams while maintaining high safety standards. Outdoor work experience in various weather conditions; physically capable of performing manual labor tasks regularly. Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and clients effectively. Basic construction knowledge related to landscape projects is advantageous but not mandatory.
