Responsibilities Lead and train a crew of 2 to 5 employees in the installation and maintenance of annual flowers and seasonal color displays. Prepare landscape beds for planting, including soil preparation, cleanup, and amendments. Plant and maintain annual flowers in beds, containers, and planters according to design specifications. Perform pruning, deadheading, weeding, watering, and general flower bed maintenance. Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and other approved treatments as needed. Identify common plants, weeds, pests, and beneficial insects. Monitor plant health and promptly report issues to managers. Supervise, delegate, and work alongside crew members to ensure quality and efficiency. Train new employees in horticultural practices, equipment use, and company standards. Communicate professionally with clients regarding questions or concerns. Ensure crews have the necessary materials, tools, and equipment for each job. Operate and maintain small landscape equipment such as tillers and blowers. Maintain accurate records of crew hours, materials, and completed work using company software. Collaborate with managers to plan and execute seasonal installations and ongoing maintenance. Support the Floriculture Department and Maintenance Division as needed.
