The Fleet Equipment Coordinator manages company fleet equipment utilization and tractor assignments while serving as a key point of contact for drivers and internal departments. This role helps ensure equipment is properly assigned, tracked, and available to support operations.
Shift:
Tues 7a-1pm, Wed & Thurs 7a-5p, Fri 8a-6p and Sat 7a-2p OR Wednesday-Saturday 8am-7pm
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor and track the location and status of tractors and trailers. Coordinate equipment assignments and routing with multiple departments. Investigate and resolve equipment-related issues. Maintain accurate tractor counts and yard inventories. Support driver onboarding and equipment assignment processes. Manage rental car arrangements and payment advances when needed. Provide PeopleNet support, including setting up new user accounts. Assist with fleet compliance programs and equipment audits. Train, coach, and support team members as needed.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong supervisory and leadership skills. Solves problems and makes decisions independently and proactively. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
